How to set up a mowing schedule
Mowing-only? Set up recurring visits, push the season to the calendar, and route each day of the week.
Steps
- Add the customer and their property — Start on the Customers page and add the customer with their name, phone, and email, then enter and verify the property address so it drops a map pin. Make sure the property has Mowing flagged in its service mix — that's what tells the rest of the app this is a mowing stop. If you're bringing over an existing book, import it from a spreadsheet instead of typing each one.
- Open Recurring Visits and start a new schedule — Go to the Recurring Visits page (the Mowing tab on your Calendar) and click New Schedule. This is the mowing-only setup — do NOT use the Yearly Plan flow for cutting. Pick the customer and their property from the dropdowns, and confirm the service category stays on Mowing.
- Choose the frequency and assign a day of the week — Set how often you cut: Weekly, Biweekly, or a Custom interval (enter the number of days). Then assign the Day of Week the crew will be on that street — putting customers on the same day is what builds your weekly route. Optionally assign a crew and set a price per visit so billing and dispatch fill in automatically.
- Set the season start and end dates — Enter when the mowing season starts and ends for this customer. TurfTechAdvisor uses those dates plus the frequency to figure out exactly how many visits to create — so set them to the real first and last cut of the year.
- Push the whole season to the calendar — Save the schedule. TurfTechAdvisor generates every visit for the season at once and drops them on your Treatment Calendar — no re-entering the same stop week after week. You'll see a confirmation telling you how many visits were added. Repeat steps 2–4 for the rest of your mowing customers, putting each on the right day.
- Build and save a route for each day — Open the Route Planner and use the This Week day tabs to pick a day (e.g. Tuesday). It loads everyone you scheduled for that day, drops them on the map, and lets you Optimize the driving order. Save the route so it sticks for that recurring day — next week the same Tuesday crew opens the same optimized list. Do this once per day you cut.
