How to keep EPA-compliant application records

Log every chemical application the way inspectors expect — products, rates, GPS, applicator, and weather.

Steps

  1. Start a record from the completed job — Open Records or a completed chemical job and start an application record. The customer, property, service date, applicator context, and available property area can be pre-filled, leaving you to confirm what was actually applied.
  2. Scan or pick the product — Scan a barcode, choose an inventory item, or type the product name and select a match. TurfTechAdvisor brings in product and label details, looks up cost and container information when available, and ties the application to real stock.
  3. Enter the rate and treated area — Record the application rate and the area treated. The platform validates your rate against the product's label range and flags anything outside it before you save — protecting you from off-label mistakes.
  4. Capture GPS, applicator, and weather — Confirm the applicator, witness if required, treated property area, GPS location, and weather conditions. Current weather can be loaded from the job location, while the record keeps the application-time values for compliance.
  5. Save with the FIFRA amendment trail — Save the record. Any later edit is fully audited — every change is timestamped and surfaced inline and in the inspector export, so your records stay defensible without locking you out of legitimate corrections.
  6. Export inspector-ready reports — Generate a PDF or CSV for an inspector, run a bulk export across a date range, or roll up a state annual use report — all from the records you've already captured.
