How to set up the customer portal

Give customers self-serve access — they sign in to view history, pay invoices, and accept quotes.

Steps

  1. Make sure your plan includes the portal — The customer portal is available on Growth and Pro accounts. Once you're on a plan that includes it, the portal is ready for your customers — no separate setup or hosting to manage.
  2. Let customers sign in securely — Customers reach the portal with a magic link sent to their email or with a password. Their sign-in is kept entirely separate from your pro tools, so they only ever see their own account.
  3. Give them their service history — In the portal, customers can see their visits and service history at a glance. Application-record details are sanitized to remove sensitive operational fields, so customers see the work without your internal data.
  4. Collect payments online — Open invoices show a Pay Now button that takes a secure card payment and records it against the invoice automatically. Customers settle up in seconds and your books stay current.
  5. Let customers accept quotes — Customers can review and accept estimates right from the portal. An acceptance can flow straight into scheduled work, closing the loop from proposal to booked job without a phone call.
